Every Waiheke Freedom tour is private and personalised to your group — never a fixed script. Choose your interests from the options list when you book, tell us the vineyards, distilleries, beaches or activities you're after in your booking notes, or simply reply to your confirmation email.

After you book, we'll be in touch to confirm an itinerary built around you, and we make every reservation through our direct contacts across the island.

Our flagship day on Waiheke Island: seven to eight hours to properly explore the island's vineyards, coastline and hidden corners, with nothing rushed.

Your day is built around up to five tastings at boutique vineyards, distilleries or breweries of your choice, plus real time to linger: a longer lunch, a secluded beach walk or a stop on the island's 100 km of walking tracks. Want to add the Far End — Man O' War, clay-bird shooting, the Stony Batter tunnels or the Forest Flight zipline? There's time for it on this tour.

Plenty of guests stay on for a sunset dinner at Michelin-starred Mudbrick, then take a five-minute taxi (about $35) back to the ferry at their leisure.

Typically 10am to 5.30pm/ 6pm. From $699 NZD per person ($599 each for groups of 3 or 4), plus your chosen tastings. Tour prices include GST and booking fees; lunch is paid on the day and the ferry isn't included.

Waiheke's Far End is a different world: 40 minutes of scenic coastal driving from Onetangi Beach, around 10,000 acres of farmland, native bush lanes, and epic coastline of outstanding natural beauty. There are plenty stops for photos, as and when you wish. Our spacious luxury SUV is 4WD for the unsealed roads out here — this private Man O' War tour takes you all the way.

Man O' War has been making award-winning wine since 1993, across 150 acres of vines on 76 hillside blocks. Taste their Bordeaux blend, Syrah, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay in the tasting room by the beach, with views across the Hauraki Gulf to the Coromandel Peninsula.

Expect three or four stops in all. We'll build the rest of your far-end day around Man O' War: tastings in the vines at Jasper Ridge, reserve wines at Passage Rock or gin with a view at Waiheke Distilling Co.

Waiheke's best-known names in five easy hours, from morning ferry to afternoon ferry — perfect for a cruise stopover or your last day in Auckland.

Start at Allpress Olive Groves, tasting six distinct olive oils alongside mānuka honey and other Waiheke condiments — or ease in with a coffee and a wander in Oneroa village. Then it's on to Tantalus Estate for a private, sommelier-presented tasting in their cellar.

Allow an hour for lunch — the Onetangi Valley has plenty of excellent options, each with its own food and feel, and we'll help you pick the one that suits you best. We finish at Mudbrick with a tasting of their flagship wines and that famous Auckland skyline view.

How you taste is entirely up to you. Pay as you go on the day, and you're free to choose whatever catches your eye at each stop — or add tastings to your booking at checkout, choosing your headcount and whether you'd like Estate or Reserve tastings included.

Waiheke wine is all about quality over quantity. Our island's winemakers grow, hand-pick and craft in famously small batches, so every season's vintage is limited — and it shows in the glass.

Estate tastings showcase each vineyard's core range and their unique approach to winemaking, across varietals that vary considerably from vineyard to vineyard.

Reserve & Library tastings are the next step up for your palate — the vineyard's absolute pick of the season, in limited batches developed to cellar for decades.

As a rough guide: Estate wine tastings run around $20–$30 NZD for 3–4 samples, and Reserve or Library tastings $40–$80. A gin or vodka paddle, a craft beer or whisky tasting typically falls between $20–$50, and an olive oil tasting can be as little as $10 NZD.

However you taste your way around the island with us, you'll experience some of Waiheke's finest — at a relaxed pace, with plenty of time to properly savour it.

Yes — our tours are family-friendly and can be tailored to children of all ages. Youth travel at a reduced rate and young children travel free — every child still counts towards your group's maximum of four guests. Tell us in your booking notes who's coming and we'll plan a great day for everyone.

Travelling with a little one? We can arrange a car seat or booster through our local hire partner, Gear Grab, for a small pass-through fee — simply add it to your booking.

Waiheke is made for kids: Man O' War and Tantalus both have playgrounds, the beaches are safe and sandy, and while you enjoy a tasting our guides are always happy to keep the kids entertained for a few minutes.
