Adventure Tour Overview
The Adventure Tour is a full-day private tour of Waiheke Island for groups who'd rather do than sip. Zip through the forest canopy on Man O' War's Forest Flight, try archery and laser clay shooting at Wild Estate, explore the WWII tunnels at Stony Batter or walk Onetangi Beach — with a tasting or two and lunch by the sea in between.
A Sample Itinerary:
Pick one big-ticket activity or pack in three. We'll check availability and hold your spots, then each provider sends you a booking to confirm and pay, in advance or on the day, as their own health and safety rules require. Horse riding, kayaking or e-bikes can be added too. Activity fees are paid separately.

Ferry to Matiatia & the Palm Beach lookout
Catch the Island Direct ferry from Pier 13 in downtown Auckland. We meet you at Matiatia Wharf, then stop at the Palm Beach lookout for your first big view over the Hauraki Gulf.
An action-packed hour: archery on the range among the vines, then laser clay-bird shooting — with a Wild Estate tasting afterwards if you like.

We drop you part-way along 1.5 km of golden sand, with Aotea Great Barrier Island on the horizon, and meet you at lunch.

Forest Flight zipline at Man O' War
After the coast road east, three tandem ziplines spanning more than 900 metres through the canopy above Man O' War Bay, linked by a forest walkway. Allow 1.5 to 2 hours.
Waiheke Distilling Co or Stony Batter
A well-earned gin or vodka with one of the island's best views — or swap in the WWII tunnels at Stony Batter.

Home via the loop road
A scenic forest drive back to Matiatia for the ferry, or to your accommodation.
Tour ends at Matiatia Wharf.

How much does the Adventure Tour cost?
It books at the Ultimate Freedom Tour price: from NZ$699 per person, or NZ$599 each for groups of three or four. Prices include GST and booking fees. Activity fees, tastings and lunch are paid separately.
Do we have to drink on this tour?
Not at all. The day is built around activities; tastings are optional and pay-as-you-go.
What should we wear?
Closed shoes and comfortable clothes you can move in, plus a warm layer — Waiheke can be breezy at times.
