Which Waiheke Tour Is Right for You?
Every Waiheke Freedom tour is private: just your group of up to four, a local guide and a spacious luxury SUV, with the day built around you. What changes between our tours is how much of Waiheke Island you see — from five easy hours in our central wine valley, to a full day from the west-end vineyards to the wild far-end, overlooking the Hauraki Gulf.

Three signature tours, each built around a different part of the island, plus two themed days for walkers and thrill-seekers. Every one starts with pick-up from the ferry or your accommodation, and any stop can be swapped for something you'd rather do. We're flexible by nature!
Ultimate Freedom Tour
7+ hours · Private, up to 4 guests · From NZ$699 per person (NZ$599 each for 3+)
The whole island in a full day: four or five stops, a long lunch — Michelin-starred at Mudbrick or Tantalus if you like — and the far end in the afternoon. Sommelier-led tastings, a coastal or bush walk, an artist's studio: every stop is yours to choose.
Best for first visits, special occasions and food lovers.
Epic Far-End Tour
6 hours · Private, up to 4 guests · From NZ$599 per person (NZ$549 each for 3+)
The coast road to Waiheke's wild eastern end, lunch on Man O' War Bay and far-end tastings most visitors never reach — Passage Rock, Waiheke Distilling Co or the WWII tunnels at Stony Batter. Our 4WD SUV handles the unsealed roads.
Best for scenery lovers, return visitors and anyone who wants to see the whole island.
West-End Icons Tour
5 hours · Private, up to 4 guests · From NZ$499 per person (NZ$469 each for 3+)
Waiheke's wine country in five easy hours: usual first tasting is olive oil at Allpress, tastings at Tantalus, lunch at your choice and finish at famed Mudbrick. Short drives, close-together stops, and back in good time for your ferry, Oneroa village or to soak up an afternoon on the beach.
Best for cruise days, short stays and visiting family.
Adventure Tour
About 7 hours · Private, up to 4 guests · Booked at the Ultimate price
For groups who'd rather do than sip: the Forest Flight zipline above Man O' War Bay, archery in the vines at Wild Estate and the WWII tunnels at Stony Batter, with a tasting or two in between.
Best for families, friends and thrill-seekers.
Nature Immersion Tour
About 6 hours · Private, up to 4 guests · Booked at the Far-End price
Waiheke at walking pace: the Cascades track through native bush in Whakanewha Regional Park, a coastal trail and birdsong all the way, with lunch at Batch to finish.
Best for walkers, nature lovers and a slower day.

Prices are per person for one or two guests; groups of three or four pay less: NZ$599 each on the Ultimate and Adventure, NZ$549 on the Far-End and Nature Immersion, and NZ$469 on West-End Icons. Tastings, lunch and the ferry are paid separately.

Which Waiheke tour should I choose?
If you have one day and want everything, choose the Ultimate Freedom Tour. If you want the scenery and quiet of the far end, choose the Epic Far-End Tour. If you're short on time or arriving by cruise ship, choose West-End Icons.
Are all your tours private?
Yes. Every tour is for your group only — up to four guests — and we run one tour a day, so your guide is never rushing off to the next group.
How much time do we need on Waiheke Island?
Five hours is enough for a good first look, six lets you reach the far end, and a full day lets you see the whole island without rushing. The ferry from downtown Auckland takes 40–45 minutes each way.
Which Waiheke restaurants have a Michelin star?
Mudbrick and Tantalus Estate were both awarded a star in the first Michelin Guide New Zealand, in 2026. We can book either for lunch on the Ultimate Freedom Tour, or for dinner after any tour. There are a myriad of exceptional restaurants and a multitude of passionate chefs on Waiheke.
Ki Māha on Onetangi beach also received a Michelin mention. Casita Miro, Poderi Crisci, The Oyster Inn, The Heke, Man O' War, Cable Bay and Batch are just some of our other incredible lunch and dinner venues. We're very lucky to be spoilt for choice here.
Is the ferry included?
No — you book the ferry from downtown Auckland and we meet you at Matiatia. We'll suggest which sailing to catch when we confirm your day.
Can we bring a group larger than four?
Our vehicle seats four guests, so we can't take larger groups sorry, we like to keep it intimate — but get in touch and we'll happily recommend a local partner who can. We've even been known to plan your day, and on the rare occasion hire larger vehicles, typically for repeat guests.
